EXO - Overdose

So today I will be writing about EXO.
Their new mini album is out and as expected as soon the video was released they broke their own record of previous music videos and albums.

To who have no clue who EXO are, they are a Korean boy band, which has 12 members and are divided in what is EXO K and EXO M. K standing for Korean and M standing for Mandarin. So EXO K releases songs in Korean while EXO M release the same songs but in Mandarin. They are incredible popular not only in Korea but in whole Asia and have many fans around the globe, it is surprising how popular they are. They are talented indeed, the choreography are stunning and some members have incredible voices.
If you don't mind a different language and you are interested on what may be good pop music then go ahead and listen some EXO's songs. But I will recommend you to listen songs that don't have music videos.

Now lets talk about the new mini album Overdose... the song which has the same name, it didn't get my attention much, specially when I was expecting something more like "Growl" still is quite catchy and there is this particular part where  they sing " too much, your love..." that the song takes an attractive rhythm. The choreography of this song is good, complicated and doesn't disappoint at all. EXO is recognized for having the most amazing and powerful choreography ever in the Kpop industry and this new one is just amazing as their previous choreography.

The video is another thing, still has that thing of the members being in this one place and just dancing. When will the boys be outside? But well SM is doing the same with all their groups...everyone dances in the same place...come one SM you have more budget! I am sure you can do a better video! The beginning too, it is quite ... how to say? is not surprising at all, good looking boys being trapped in this labyrinth, but doesn't have any sense because then the boys only dance, no story line... then we have the fashion, every time I am more convinced that SM stylist hate their artists, because the fashion they choose is just ugly!

Now the rest of the album, is just precious! Personally I think that the other songs are better than Overdose...of course thinking of a video is quite complicated at first maybe the choreography but imagining a bit I can actually think of a video with storyline!
The songs on the album are: Thunder, Love,Love, Moonlight and Run. The album it is just very pleasant to hear. I definitely recommend it, even if you are not an EXO fan or Kpop fan, I think you may like it, as long as you don't mind to listen music that is in a different language.

In conclusion, I am pleased with EXO's come back, I was doubting if they were going to have good music and because Overdose song didn't convinced me I was feeling a bit disappointing but as soon as I listened the album I changed my mind. The songs I liked the most were Thunder, Run and Love,Love :)

So what do you think? Did you like the video? Did you like the album? Which song you liked? What you didn't like?
